Land Rover Defender 90 V8 3.5

Sellers Comments -
I have owned my Defender 90 nearly 6 years and have loved every minute, but the time has come to let someone new have some fun with it.

Odometer is not true for current engine....
In 2012 I replaced the engine with V8 petrol at 173,000 miles (all professionally fitted by my more than capable petrol-head mechanic) with an engine that had 116,000 miles on it, so engine has done a total of 121,500 miles.
(Receipts and DVLA acknowledgement available).

Other stuff I have done (again, all done by my mechanic)...
• new sports exhaust (exits just behind passenger door) and sounds the nutts!
• new radiator
• new steering box
• new clutch
• new petrol tank
• new starter motor
• air horns and Dixie tunes (for fun)
• battery isolator
• new cubby box
• fitted rev counter
• new heater control
• fitted front spotlights and hi-level spots
• fitted hi-level stop & tail lights
• new sports steering wheel
• skytag gps tracking fitted (will need subscription renewing/config)
• (in 2013) replaced camshaft inlet and carbs
• fuel pump replaced
• side steps and back step fitted
• chequer plated cos it looks good (see photos).

Last MOT was Aug 2016 with no advisories and since then it's only done approx 500 miles.

Please bear in mind this is a 30 year old Landy and not in perfect condition, BUT, it's brilliant fun and sounds awesome.

Whilst I've owned it it's always been garaged.

I'm sure I've missed loads, so feel free to ask anything you want to know and I'll do my best to answer.

Happy for you to view before bidding.

Land Rover Series 2A...1966. SWB. OVERDRIVE. Petrol 2.25.

Sellers Comments
FRS 312D......Series 2A Land Rover...first registered 01 September 1966. V5 present and in my name.
Fitted with WORKING OVERDRIVE.
2.25 petrol engine.

SMITHS circular heater fitted.
Original sprung steering wheel is included in sale...worth £100+.

Last used on the road in December 2013. This is when the last mot expired. It just needed a plate welded on the chassis around the passenger side front outrigger........but this never got done and has been barn stored since ! SO ONLY OFF ROAD FOR just over 3 years.

Please come and have a look whilst the auction is running.

Put new battery on today and some fresh petrol and it fired into life running sweetly on all four cylinders.
Clutch, footbrakes working and just had a quick drive around my farmyard. Handbrake just about holds, but will need adjusting/tightening.

Very good 235/85 R16s tyres fitted all round and the spare in the back on the bigger LR wheels.

Free wheeling front hubs fitted.
New exhaust silencer and rear pipe fitted for last mot in 2013.

38,208 miles showing....so must be 138,000 !

County style seats in cab, but have rips. No bench seats in rear, but these are cheap enough new.

PLEASE STUDY THE PICTURES, THEY GIVE A VERY HONEST VIEW.

Both side footwells have small holes so will need an easy plate or repair whole section. Not a big job.
Needs the plate welding as stated earlier, near the passenger side front outrigger.
Needs small repair to passenger side bulkhead top around upper door hinge, as clearly shown in picture.

1954 Land Rover 107 Series 1 Recovery Truck

Sellers Comments
Landrover 107 Series 1 in original 1950's livery for Steel's of Cheltenham Rover and Wolseley main dealers.

Built 21st December 1954, it was dispatched to Mann Egerton of Norwich on 29th December where I think it was converted to a Recovery Truck using Mann Egertons own manufactured recovery equipment .
It was registered on 1st February 1955 whether it went straight to Steels of Cheltenham is unclear.

It has undergone an extensive rebuild by myself retaining original paintwork and sign writing where possible (it had been completely painted over with light blue paint which was painstakingly removed to reveal the original paint and sign writing)

It has a brand new Radfords galvanised bulkhead, The chassis was repaired where needed but was in very good order to start with.
The engine is not the original but is the correct spread bore 2ltr petrol of similar age which was rebuilt and runs perfectly.
The gearbox and both axles were rebuilt, the rear axle is from a later Series 2 which is a common upgrade from the fragile Series 1 rear axle.

In the rear is fitted an original Mann Egerton crane complete with support jacks on the rear cross member.
On the front is fitted a Mann Egerton Towing Ambulance with it's draw bar stored under the rear body through the PTO hole in the rear cross member.

I have fitted a later Series 1 recirculating ball steering box to make the steering less wayward and lighter, but will include the original box and Horn/Dip switch in the sale.

The 107 was featured in Land Rover Owner International Magazine April 2012.

This is a very unique vehicle that creates a lot of interest.

It has only covered 430 miles since I finished it in 2011 so its time for someone else to enjoy it.

Its is MOT and Tax exempt but has just passed an MOT which expires 01/05/2018.

The last picture is a period picture of a similar equipt 107 belonging to Mann Egerton.

Its located near Alton Hampshire GU34

Land Rover Defender 90 300 Tdi Nut & bolt rebuild on galvanised chassis X Tech Brand new rebuild Absolutely stunning Any inspection

Sellers Comments - You are looking at our latest brand new nut and bolt rebuild! An X Tech Edition Land Rover Defender 90 300 Tdi. This superb Defender needs to be viewed to be fully appreciated. Please excuse the quality of the photos that really just don't do this fabulous Defender justice. It was pouring down with rain and the skies looked like the world was going to end!! It is actually lighter than it shows in the pics. It started life in 1997 as an ordinary Defender 90 300 Tdi. It had 2 former keepers and was well maintained throughout its life. Earlier this year it was totally stripped down and rebuilt on a brand new Marsland ( the best ) chassis. Brand new heavy duty suspension was fitted and off course every bush was replaced. All new brake callipers were fitted including discs, pads, pipes and flexi hoses. A new radiator, fuel tank, steering damper and exhaust was fitted along with a new clutch. All three doors, handles and locks were replaced along with front wings etc. A full towbar with electrics was added and a new interior was fitted including carpets seats, head lining, rear mat, privacy glass, cd/tuner, steering wheel, sound deadening kit etc etc. A puma bonnet was fitted along with an upgraded SVX front end and LED lights. Saw tooth alloy wheels with as new General Grabber tyres have also been fitted. It is finished off with in Land Rover Firenza red with Santorini black bonnet, roof and alloys. It then had a full service including all fluids & filters, replacement diesel pump, replacement timing belt, heater plugs etc. The result is a better than new Defender 90 300 Tdi that will last somebody forever! Being the much sought after 300 Tdi on a galvanised chassis, it will not decrease in value in fact it should actually increase! Bear in mind that rear windows ( tinted if required ), rear seats and belts can be fitted for around £500 if required. If you have any questions or wish to reserve this Defender.

1998 (S) Land Rover Defender 90 TD5 County Station Wagon - For Sale Woking

Sellers Comments
For Sale. 1998 (S) Land Rover TD5 90 Defender County Station Wagon in metallic green. 5 speed manual R380 gearbox with hi/lo/lock transfer box. 6 owners. V5 held. MOT until October 2017. London Low Emission Zone compliant.I have owned this for the last 9 years.
New EU3 15p spec factory crate engine with less than 20k miles. Not a dubious reconditioned unit or a scrapyard engine. Receipts to prove over £4k spent on engine alone. Clutch, flywheel, starter, alternator, turbo, and radiator all changed for new at same time as the engine.
Alive Tuning ECU map and boost module.
Alive Tuning stainless steel full bore exhaust system.
Alisport professional turbo intercooler. Twice as big as standard.
This motor drives like a dream with plenty of torque and power with absolutely no black smoke like some cheap plug and play tuning chips.
Genuine recorded mileage 123660 as supported by all MOTs but as said replacement upgraded engine has only done 20k miles from new. Serviced every 5k miles.
Full length Hannibal aluminium roof rack with side rails and access ladder. These are over £1200 new and are the best you can get. No corrosion issues like the steel ones.
5 x Discovery alloy wheels. No kerbing damage just cosmetic paint blemishes. Good tyres with unused full size spare.
Heavy duty 6mm steel replacement rear cross member with height adjustable tow hitch. The standard cross members rust away very quickly. This will outlast the rest of the motor. Heavy duty steering bash guard.
Swing away rear wheel carrier. Side steps and integrated rock sliders. Chequer plate wings and sills fitted from new. Some age related marks and scuffs but in good overall condition.
Part leather original seats. 2 plus 4 rear folding. Power steering, ABS, TC, Radio/CD, factory glass sunroof. Alarm and immobiliser with two sets of keys and alarm fobs. Lockable cubby box.
Open to sensible offers but I will not be giving it away as I know what it is worth. This is priced to sell and I am not in a hurry. Selling as I no longer need two cars. This is an appreciating future classic. Go anywhere motoring with style. Contact me to arrange viewing in the Woking area.
The vehicle is kept at my commercial premises.
No p/x or swaps. I will not respond to any of these enquiries so don't waste your time.
If you want to inspect or test drive it I will need to see your driving licence and a copy of your insurance otherwise I will drive you. No exceptions. This vehicle will be SORNed at end of May when the insurance runs out at which time any test drives will not be possible as it will be illegal to drive it.
It is advertised elsewhere and I reserve the right to withdraw it from sale at any time. I'm confident you will not find a better Defender for its age in terms of chassis, engine, and overall bodywork condition.
Cheers Steve
