The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.

Sellers Comments -This Land Rover has been owned by our family since new. It has a full and detailed service and repair history.
I took it over from my father 10 years ago and rebuilt it with a new galvanised chassis, new paintwork and many new additions including the snorkel, it was prepared for a trans-Africa journey but then I had kids and the plan was shelved!
This year it has had a major overhaul of the rear axle, prop shaft, floor and structural work as shown. It could now do with a respray if you want it to look like new but the engine has no faults and the vehicle is as strong as new mechanically. You are welcome to view but I wont take silly offers as I am more than a bit attached to her and only selling as the pressure is on from kids to get something that heats their toes in the back!
The roof rack and tow bar was fitted by the Landrover dealer when the vehicle was originally purchased.
Bad bits: Little bit of leaking from sunroof (usual story), rust on rear lip under rear cab section, drivers internalnlock missing, bit of galvanisation going on in bits, like I said it could do with another paint job.
