The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.

Landrover Defender

Land Rover Defender 110 TD5 SW
Sellers Comments -I've owned this 110 for 5yrs, it was an ex-airport vehicle so hasn't suffered from our winter salted roads and the chassis and bulkhead have never been welded.
In the past year it's had a new front Ashcroft LSD diff and a Truetrac LSD in the rear Salisbury axle which gives it awesome grip on and off road, it totally transforms it!
Slickshift gear change
A new winch up front and new BFG 33x12.5x15 wheels and tyres with wide arches to cover them and new rear adjustable pin to pin rear shocks.
In the past 2 yrs its had an uprated LOF solid mass flywheel clutch and power slave
An Alive remap and big aluminum Serck intercooler, hoses and ITG filter.
A boomslang wiring harness for the headlights.
As seen in the pics it has a custom 2" cage that is integrated with the front and rear bumpers and rocksliders with a swing away wheel carrier. It also has bolt on front bush guards to protect the front end if your going hard off road and the window grille folds down as a handy table when camping.
I've replaced some items with galvanised parts just while maintaining it, things like mud flap brackets, bulkhead cowling, slam panel when fitting the uprated intercooler etc
Bad points are, it has a Discovery transfer box fitted that has now got an oil leak and some wear, the side doors are starting to get crusty and wanting refurbished, the rear is one of my HD galvansied doors with a MUD door card.
It's a cracking honest big truck that I've priced it to reflect the issues, and it's ideal for the home mechanic to sort, or I can rectify them if you like at a price.
