Land Rover Defender 90 - off road winch truck trayback style - 1990

Sellers Comments -
I am selling my Land Rover defender 90 off road truck, it’s a 1990 truck-cab model that originally had a 2.5l petrol engine fitted.

I have owned this car from March 2012 and the car has done around 4,000 miles since having been used purely for leisure. It has been garaged all the time I have owned it.

I have rebuilt the Land Rover twice during the time I have owned, the first time being more cosmetic with the second time was done to incorporate the rear winch, which led me into making the Land Rover into a more serious off road vehicle. The second rebuild (approx 3 yrs ago) consisted of a 2.5tdi engine being fitted, genuine Land Rover heavy duty suspension all round, hi-grip mud tyres, raised air intake, rock sliders, sump guard, diff guards, front and rear 13,000lb winches, 2nd auxiliary battery, front winch bumper, along with the rear tub being removed (to allow install of a rear winch) to increase off-road capability. A bespoke built roll cage was also fitted during this rebuild. All changes from the manufacturers original spec have been recorded with the DVLA and are covered on specialist LR insurance.

Since the rebuild the Land Rover has been used for off-road pay & play days along with some green lane activity. This Land Rover is excellent at anything where conditions are very tricky and will go anywhere. This Land Rover is not suitable for competition racing in my view and is more somebody wanting to have lots of fun playing around in thick mud, tricky hill climbs, deep water and anything where an everyday 4x4 will not go. As you will see from the pictures there other enhancements to the original vehicle spec, just too many to list. There are one or two scuffs and panel knocks from being off road although nothing significant in my opinion.

The bulkhead is in good condition and very solid, the chassis has been repaired in one area a couple of months ago by myself for the last MOT although is sound for a car of around 30 years old.

I am selling as I need to create garage space for my latest Land Rover project that is due to start anytime now. I have a folder full of old MOTs and associated paperwork to validate.

The Land Rover is stored at my brothers garage in Pudsey where I would have access to a ramp so any potential new owner can see the Land Rover from top to bottom. Viewing can be between 9 and 4 any week day and Saturday mornings up until noon when the garage is open.

Please feel free to ask any questions on the car you wish and I am sure I will be able to help and answer knowing this Land Rover so well.

The Land Rover is advertised elsewhere so could be removed at anytime without prior notice if sold.
