Land Rover Defender 90 Td5 Tomb Raider
Sellers Comments -Defender 90 Tomb Raider special edition. 1 of only 250 ever built. This model came standard from the factory with: full external roll cage, roof rack, 6 LR badged spot lights, bull bar, steering guard, snorkel, NAS rear step and tow bar, 6 seats (all with seatbelts), tubular side steps, checker plate kit and leather steering wheel. This is one of the best spec'd tomb raiders I've seen. This has additionally had lumbar support front seats fitted with extended seat rails on the drivers side, this gives loads more leg room (I am 6ft 4 and have no issues driving this). The original front seats are included but have got some wear on them. It has also been fitted with a bigger front mount intercooler and had a remap with a different exhaust making it drive and sound fantastic. A avery lively drive for a heavy car. It is fitted with new BF goodrich Mud Terrain tyres on standard boost alloy wheels and the original pewter grey alloy wheels with road tyres on come with it to.
It has just passed it's MOT and is in daily use. Since I have had it, all it has needed was a new exhaust manifold gasket. The chassis is on good condition and it is a solid Land Rover. HPI clear
Bad bits:
The paintwork is starting to look a bit tired, there is some rust bubbling through on the body cappings and the doors have got a couple of dents in. The cage and snorkel could also do with a lick of paint or powder coating. All the issues with this are cosmetic. It is still in daily use and is a great to drive and gets comments everywhere is goes.
I am willing consider sensible offers or PX with 4x4 or farm quad within Ebay's rules.

Over £3000 on parts, Body work and respray April 2020, face lift grills, new gloss wheel arches, wipac smoked led lights, new fuel tank and hoses, heavy duty standard height springs, super gas shocks, galv front turrets, polly bushed suspension all round.
New front swivel bearings and seals, new front wheel bearings and seals, chassis rear cross member replaced, Boost alloys with BFG AT tyres with plenty of tread, new exhaust back box and the rest is couple years old. Fully road legal and ready to be mot’d!
The engine came from a iveco euro cargo lorry, it’s still running the 6 speed lorry gearbox with an adapter plate onto landy transfer box
The truck it’s self is very good spec too, 4” lift, new brake all round, external cage welded to chassis, real beadlocks, fedima tyres almost new 285/17/16, QT 6° cranked arms front and rear, warn 8274 winch with brand new 30m 12mm rope. Light bar, cb radio, steering guard, heavy duty steering arms, lowered rear shock mounts, truck is amazing off road and I’m sure there’s lots I’ve forgotten
The engine is on custom mounts, but has a lot of very serviceable features, we have made use of a 200tdi power steering pump, a 300tdi alternator with a custom pulley and a landrover radiator so if anything was to go down you simple replace it with easy to find and cheap parts from landrovers. It makes around 240hp and 650nm of torque, it has a stainless stack coming out the bonnet, the injection pump has been tweaked so there is some black smoke on full throttle but this can be turned back down. This is a very similar engine to the Cummins 6bt that is commonly put into these and fetch well over £10,000 every time and I don’t doubt this will be far away.
It has a crawler gear in the gearbox and still use of the low range in the transfer box, I have never seen a landy with such amazing low range! Amazing for crawling etc.

Sellers Comments - Defender 110 lovely condition with so much on it too long to list everything but it’s done it and been there I brought it to replace my Discovery but have unfortunately found it too high for me getting in and out so have gone back to my old td5. It has two huge power packs with inverter inside and allows 240 hook up two roof awnings with all the bars a separate lock box all led lighting, snorkel and front body checker plate it has had all under body protection done. This listing is for our beautiful expedition ready Land Rover Defender. She has been our much loved vehicle for many years and no expense has been spared keeping her serviced, maintained and on the road.
It is with great sadness that we have come to sell our pride and joy, but we simply cannot afford not to. Genuine reason for sale, as they say =(
The vehicle was build in 1996 by Land Rover's "Special Vehicle Operations" department, according to the previous owner it was originally built on a government contract for the military, but we are not sure. There is a SVO plate under the bonnet.
There is 186k miles on the clock, although a reconditioned engine and cooling system was fitted 6 months ago at great expense. The work was carried out by a specialist defender restoration workshop following a head gasket failure. A new clutch was fitted at the same time.
It is fitted with:

2000 model - low milage for it’s age at only 128, 000
11 months MOT.
Bulkhead solid.
Remapped engine by previous owner (no paperwork but proof is in the drive) it drives fast and efficiently.
Lots of time and money spent on the vehicle.
Extras included - exmoor heavy duty Inner canvas pockets, adinerline 4x4 security foot lock to name a few.
I also have the original parts that I have kept i.e the set of original alloys and the original front seats (Before I upgraded them to leather sport bucket seats) I have got the light guards and the bull bar all included in the sale if you want them.
