Note 1. LT95 gearbox. The main box must always have Gearoil 30 (or equivalent) as it is fitted with its own fibre wheel oil pump which will shear if a higher viscosity oil is used and cause the gearbox to fail. However the transfer box does not have a pump, consequently a higher viscosity oil can be used such as Hypoid 80W/90.

Note 1. LT230 transfer box. This box will work happily with either Gearoil 30, Hypoid 80W/90 or Auto DX II. As a rule of thumb, replace with which ever oil is drained from the unit. It is also usual practise to use same oil as specified for main gearbox.
