The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.

Land Rover Series 2a
Sellers Comments Hi this auction is for a Landrover series 2a 10625 miles on clock ,with original 2.2 petrol engine ,matching numbers to log book .As you can see from pics real straight Veichle ,starts ,runs and drives but has been parked up for quite some time . Will need attention to a few things .Been stored in a garage ,new rear cross member at some point in really good condition ,front bulkhead in good condition ,engine runs really smooth .Has been blue at some time as you can see from back of pick up ,Back board will need painting to match the rest of the truck .Also comes with Ivor Willian's aluminium truck back with cage door .Has perished tyres but I have a new set that will go with it .Was moted when last parked up but will obviously need afresh mot .inside is all original and has had new floor pans footwells.Lovely project or use as it is ,straight panels all round.
