The Land Rover Defender is an off-road vehicle produced under this name by the British manufacturer, Land Rover, since 1991. However, the vehicle is the direct heir of the first Land Rover that made its debut in 1948. The first prototype was built by the British automaker in 1947 and it was designed for the army. This iconic car was improved over the years and it has been known for generations as a national treasure.

1976 Land Rover 88" Safari Great project Vehicle
Sellers Comments A rare opportunity to own a genuine Land Rover 1976 88" Safari. This Land Rover is full of character. Purchased over 11 years ago as part of a package deal it hasn't done anything since although, with a booster pack it fires into life and trundles along just fine. A genuine vehicle which has been unmolested over the years with only a few mods to the dash to incorporate radio and some electric upgrades. A valuable base for a project vehicle for restoration. The pictures tell all. Expected grazes here and there but all intact, no major damage and drove 2 miles to its current location last weekend. If you are looking for a project then this is a peach.
