The Carawagon is well know for it’s simple but luxury design and the use of good quality materials – this is reflected in the current condition of the vehicle more than 47 years on. The Land Rover have been stored under dry protection and the chassis and framework is treated with transparend Valvoline 550 ML.(no suprises underneath paint)
All oil in engine, gearbox, transferbox, overdrive, swivels, steeringbox etc have been renewed.  As wel as cooling water and grease on all joins.

But there are some minor flaws after 47 years of use:
  • The inevitable usermarks on tin, paint and upholstery.
  • Some rubber seal over the piano-type roof hinges need repare.
  • A few small dents left untouched to preserve the original paint.
  • Slight surface rust at the bottom of the the doors and footwels, easy to cure but reluctant to put paint on it. Therefore its been treated with rust proofing wax.
I do have the car listed locally
