Landrover Series 3 1973 tax exempt swb 88 safari station wagon petrol

Sellers Comments Before the end of the week this landrover will have a full 12 months m.o.t. I took it today for its first m.o.t for some years. it only failed on some minor points which I have now done.first was handbrake low efficiency, small bit of welding by bump stop on front o/s, tidy up some previous welding on rear chassis [ piece about 4 inch long] and secure the brake pipes on rear axle. we bought this as a project and have fitted new rear shocks; new brake cylinders on rear;new brake shoes all round; new brake master cylinder; new fuel pump; new washer motor and wiper blades; wiper stop switch and speedo cable. the chassis has a few patches here and there but all seems strong. the bulkhead also has been patched in footwells but again seems good and strong. its quite tidy inside the full roof lining is in good clean condition there are no seats in the rear and the front seats are not the best- one rip on drivers back rest and seams come apart on other seats but are still useable. it has full safari roof with air vents which all open ok. the paintwork is very good but could do with a good polish then it would look very good.there is a little ripple on the n/s/r panel but not very noticable but then it is 44 years old so wont be a show piece.it drives very well all gears including low box all work as they should. it drives very well and pulls along well at low revs. the tyres are ok they are 285x16 so are very wide but dont catch on any springs or body work. all in all it is a nice usable landrover which looked after should give good service for years to come.Tax exempt. Please disregard my lack of feedback as in the past when I have sold things I used my wifes ebay account. viewing welcome cash on collection.
