Land Rover Series 2a 1966 - Chessington

Sellers Comments - Welcome to the sale of my 1966 series 2a Land Rover. I bought this vehicle on a whim for a bit of nostalgia and to take my German Shepherd to the woods in.  However after finally managing to get her in she was really nervous all the way and now won't go anywhere near it hence I have decided to cut my losses and put it back on the market. I have only owned this Landy for around a month and have only done about 5 miles in it.  I am no expert on these vehicles but will list all the bits I can think of.

Good Points.

Vehicle is historic so tax free (yeah)
Chassis looks really sound although it has had welding done in the past it would appear that it is all to a good standard.
A brand new Webber carburetor has been fitted.
The brakes have been completely overhauled with new wheel cylinders, master cylinder and pipework and the vehicle stops really well.
All light fittings are new.
The taup or hood is brand new.
It has been upgraded with parabolic springs and new shock absorbers + diff guards.
The top steering bush has been replaced as it was worn.
All the gears seem to hold nicely with no dropping out, at least on my short trip.
MOT until April 2017

Bad Points

For some reason the engine oil pressure light comes on!!!
Steering is a bit heavy but then it does have big off road tyre's fitted
There are a few dink's and small dents which I suppose is quite normal for a vehicle 50 years old.
